Carnival Cruise Line is restarting its sailing to Alaska with the new Carnival Miracle. The cruise line will be offering a $1,000 per person on board credit for guests who book their tickets before September 10th.

The carnival cruise restart schedule is the name of a ship that was built in 2011. It has been renamed to Carnival Miracle and it will be used for cruises to Alaska.

For the first time since the suspensions began in Spring 2024, Carnival Cruise Line will resume service to Alaska. Carnival Miracle is the fleet’s fourth ship to relaunch, and the first to do so from Seattle.

Return of the Carnival Miracle to Alaska

The Spirit-class ship is presently moored at Pier 91 and is scheduled to leave at 4:00 p.m. today. She will be the first ship in the fleet to begin Alaskan sailings from Seattle, Washington. Carnival Miracle will begin her cruises with a seven-day trip that includes stops in Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan, as well as the breathtaking Tracy Arm Fjord vistas.

Carnival Cruise Line president Christine Duffy stated, “We are pleased to restart our Alaska sailings and give passengers the chance to enjoy all of the grandeur of the Alaskan shore while giving a much-needed boost to the local economy.”

To welcome passengers aboard, the cruise company conducted a “Back to Fun” ribbon-cutting ceremony at the terminal. Port and cruise line officials, including Carnival Miracle Cruise Director Jen Baxter and Captain Vito Giacalone.

Senator Lisa Murkowski, Senator Dan Sullivan, and Representative Don Young worked tirelessly to reopen Alaska, and as a result, Carnival Cruise Line was able to restart operations. The lack of cruise tourism has had a significant effect on the state, but President Biden just signed the Alaska Tourism Restoration Act, which enables cruise ships to temporarily skip calling at a foreign port such as Canada while leaving from the United States.

“The resumption of cruising in Alaska has such a dramatic, far-reaching impact on the state, and on behalf of Carnival, I’d like to thank our partners at the Port of Seattle, as well as Senator Lisa Murkowski, Senator Dan Sullivan, and Representative Don Young, for their tremendous efforts in making our resumption of service a reality,” Duffy added. Thank you, too, to Senate Commerce Chair Maria Cantwell and the whole Washington state congressional delegation for working closely with the Alaska delegation and showing firsthand that boosting travel and tourism is a true bipartisan issue.”
