The renowned award considers a company’s ethical business practices, as well as the leadership’s character and the ideals established in the company’s culture. The BBB Torch Awards look at many aspects of a company, including leadership, culture, customer connections, and community participation, with an emphasis on how the company and leadership enable workers to shape and perpetuate the firm’s values and ethical practices.

Avoya Honored as Finalist for Better Business Bureau Ethics Award

Avoya is well-known in the travel business for being a firm founded on the principles of trust and professionalism. Avoya makes every effort to guarantee that the individuals behind the Avoya brand show dedication to good character and a love for the quality of their work, from the Independent Agencies admitted into the Network to the new employees recruited.

Avoya’s vacation platform model caters to three different types of customers: Independent Agencies in the Avoya Network who receive software, lead generation, and business support from Avoya; travelers who book vacations through its Network of Independent Agencies and receive world-class service and value; and supplier partners who receive technology and marketing services from Avoya.

Throughout the COVID-19 epidemic, Avoya’s employees and the Avoya Network continued to deliver exceptional client service and experiences. Travelers were able to call the Independent Agency that had booked and serviced their holidays or were smoothly redirected to a different Independent Agency if theirs was unavailable, and Avoya regularly had low wait times (just a few minutes). The Avoya Network was a constant advocate for Avoya’s mutual customers, contacting travel providers directly, seeking refunds and Future Travel Credits, helping with insurance claims, and more, all at no cost to the consumer due to Avoya’s guarantee of “No Avoya Fees.”

In the travel distribution channel, Avoya continues to have the greatest support personnel to Independent Agency ratio. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Avoya supported Network independent members by temporarily waiving monthly and renewal fees, providing complimentary access to expert legal and accounting assistance through the Avoya CARES program, paying commissions weekly, and continuing to provide access to the Avoya-exclusive Instant CommissionTM program. While support survey Net Promoter Scores from Independent Agencies achieved an all-time high for Avoya support personnel, Avoya enabled the Avoya Network to continue to provide a first-class client experience while delivering enhanced levels of support throughout the pandemic.

Avoya was named a finalist for the BBB Torch Awards in the big company category, out of 90 total nominations for companies in South Florida and the Caribbean across all categories.
