Cunard has announced a new fleet of ships and cruises. The most exciting of the bunch is the “Grand Voyage” to the Arctic. The ship will sail the Northern Seas in a circular route that takes in the Canadian Arctic, the Northwest Passage and the Bering Sea, before returning to Scotland. The journey will last about eight days, during which passengers will have the opportunity of venturing into the ship’s elegant spa and visiting Cunard’s own private, private island of Skerryness, situated in the North Sea.

Cunard’s latest grand voyage will see the famed British passenger liner set sail for the Mediterranean in Spring 2018.  The ship will depart from Southampton and will call at destinations including Cyprus, Italy, Greece, Turkey and Croatia.

Cunard is the second largest cruise line in the world (after Royal Caribbean), and today it revealed a new addition to its fleet. The company announced today 40 new voyages that will be offered on its Grand Voyages fleet, which has a cruising range of 3,500 nautical miles. The new 40 voyages include a number of historic routes, as well as an ambitious plan to sail to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in 2018.

Cunard North America Vice President of Sales Jamie Paiko stated, “We are delighted to introduce our new ‘Grand Escape Voyages’ as we celebrate Cunard’s complete return to sailing.”

“These new itineraries will not disappoint our loyal customers who have been longing to sail on their favorite ship for a long time. They will once again enjoy our unique ocean travel experience, which will be distinguished by new trip choices and our unmatched White Star Service.”

2nd Queen Mary

Grand Escape Voyages will be operated by the fleet’s flagship on both sides of the Atlantic, stopping at 15 ports in 14 nations.

With departures from New York City, Fort Lauderdale, Hamburg, and Southampton, the Queen Mary 2 will supplement a series of Transatlantic Crossings with short sailings throughout western Europe and the Caribbean.

The Caribbean cruises will include stops in St. Maarten, Dominica, St. Lucia, and St. Kitts, as well as an overnight stay in Barbados’ Bridgetown.
