Princess Cruises latest flagship ship, the Golden Princess, has made her way from Southampton, England to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she will begin the process of preparing for her own maiden voyage. The Golden Princess is the second ship in the second generation of the award winning Princess Cruises line (the first was the Grand Princess), and is expected to debut some 300 miles south of Miami on October 18th. The ship’s length, at long last, is 2,500 feet, and its maximum capacity is 4,500 passengers. She will also be the first ship to feature the company’s new stem-to-stern design, which has been touted as an improvement over the current design of the Grand Princess.

One of the largest cruise ships in the world has arrived in Fort Lauderdale for its first visit of 2017. The Royal Caribbean’s Enchantment of the Seas will embark on the first leg of the inaugural Caribbean Princess cruise.  The Enchantment of the Seas is Royal Caribbean’s biggest ship to date, and is 20 percent larger than the current biggest, the Allure of the Seas. Princess Cruises has a busy few months ahead of them. Enchanted Princess, the company’s newest cruise ship, landed in Fort Lauderdale ahead of her long-awaited maiden trip. In the meanwhile, Princess Cruises is preparing to launch eight Medallion-class ships this autumn.

Princess Cruises had evolved from a small cruise company with one ship traveling along the Mexican coast in 1965 to become one of the world’s largest cruise companies before ceasing operations in March of last year. Its fleet of 14 contemporary cruise ships transports two million passengers to 380 locations each year. The business expects to be able to return to this milestone in the near future.

The Enchanted Princess is getting ready for her first Caribbean season.

The Enchanted Princess, Princess Cruises’ newest cruise ship, landed in Fort Lauderdale ahead of her debut season in the Caribbean. Her first trip is planned for November 10, which is still a few months away. After a 15-day voyage from Augusta, Italy, she landed in Fort Lauderdale on September 2.

Before returning to Fort Lauderdale, the 145,281 gross ton Enchanted Princess will visit six different ports, including Princess Cays in the Bahamas, St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Curacao, and Aruba.

Princess Cruises received the 3,660-passenger Royal-class cruise ship in August of this year, but it has yet to sail with passengers. Princess Cruises’ planned christening in Southampton in June 2024 was canceled because to the pandemic.

Medallion-Class technology has been installed aboard the company’s newest ship, allowing passengers to experience a broad variety of advancements on board. Guests may look forward to faster boarding, on-demand food, beverage, retail, and service delivery, keyless stateroom access, contactless payment, a friends and family finder through the onboard app and the Medallion wearable, and superfast internet.

This Fall, a total of eight ships will set sail.

Aside from the Enchanted Princess’s first voyage, Princess Cruises intends to launch operations with no less than eight ships this autumn, departing from Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Fort Lauderdale. The ships will go to the Caribbean, the Panama Canal, Mexico, Hawaii, and California’s coast.

“As we continue our return to service, it is a pleasure for us to be able to offer additional cruise holiday choices to our travel-starved guests,” said Princess Cruises president Jan Swartz. We appreciate the help of government and port authorities, with whom we collaborated closely to make these travel options accessible to our visitors in a thoughtful and safe manner.”

Onboard safety is ensured by the cruise line’s health policy, which stipulates that all passengers must be properly vaccinated 14 days before to departure. All fully vaccinated passengers must additionally provide a negative, medically observed COVID-19 test (PCR or antigen) done within two days of embarkation on all Princess sailings, at least until October 31.

Eight ships are planned to resume service between September 25 and November 28, 2024. This autumn, the Majestic Princess and Grand Princess will depart from Los Angeles on seven-day cruises to the California Coast and Mexico, 15-day cruises to Hawaii, and three- to five-day Getaway excursions to the California Coast and Mexico.

Princess Cruises will resume operations from Florida and California, as well.

Ruby Princess will be headquartered in the state of California as well. Ruby Princess will depart from San Francisco on seven-day California Coast cruises before embarking on a 15-day trip to Hawaii and 10-day cruises to Mexico.
